How do I create a direct booking website or landing page?
Launch your own booking site from STR > Direct Booking: branding, listings, coupons, and booking requests.
Purpose
A direct booking website lets guests book with you directly — no channel commission, and you own the guest relationship and data. Rentivue hosts a booking site per company at /book/your-slug.
Who can use this
Admins and marketing managers. Requires the Direct Booking module (built on Short-Term Rental).
Steps
- 1Go to STR > Direct Booking (/str/direct-booking).
- 2Open Settings (/str/direct-booking/settings) and set up the site: site name, URL slug, logo, colors, and contact details.
- 3Add your SEO basics (title, description) and any analytics or ad pixels you use — these power campaign attribution.
- 4Enable the site features you want (booking requests, coupons, and so on) with the toggles.
- 5Open Listings (/str/direct-booking/listings) and choose which STR properties appear on the site; polish each listing's photos and description.
- 6Create coupons (/str/direct-booking/coupons) if you want promo codes for campaigns.
- 7Publish and open your public site at /book/your-slug to review it exactly as guests will.
- 8Test the flow: pick dates on a listing and submit a booking request.
- 9Booking requests arrive at STR > Direct Booking > Requests (/str/direct-booking/requests) — review and confirm them into real reservations (double-booking checks apply).
- 10Share the site link in your marketing; campaigns and QR codes from the Marketing Hub can point at it and be attributed.
Important notes
- Guest bookings from the site are REQUESTS until your team confirms them — you keep control of the calendar.
- The site only shows availability from your Rentivue calendar, so confirmed reservations and blocks are never bookable.
Common mistakes
- Publishing with placeholder photos or empty descriptions — the site is your storefront.
- Forgetting to watch the Requests inbox; slow confirmations lose bookings.
FAQ
- Can I use my own domain?
- The site lives at /book/your-slug on your Rentivue deployment; custom-domain setup is an infrastructure step — contact support.
