How do I use AI Brain?
Ask AI questions about a property from its AI Center tab — answers are grounded in that property's data and access-controlled.
Purpose
The property AI Center (Property → AI Center) is a property-aware assistant: ask questions in plain language and it answers from THAT property's data — units, leases, finances, maintenance, compliance — not from the open internet.
Who can use this
Any staff user with AI permissions. Requires the AI Brain module and a configured AI provider (Settings > Providers).
Steps
- 1Open a property and choose its AI Center tab.
- 2Ask a question in plain language. Examples:
- 3"Which properties had the lowest occupancy last quarter?"
- 4"How much did we spend on maintenance for 12 Ocean Ave this year?"
- 5"Which owners have unpublished statements for last month?"
- 6"Summarize open high-priority maintenance tickets."
- 7Review the answer and the data it is based on; ask follow-ups to drill in.
- 8Use the answer as a starting point — verify important numbers on the underlying screen or report before acting on them.
Important notes
- DATA ACCESS: AI Brain only reads data from the company you are working in, and only what YOUR permissions allow. It cannot see other companies or other tenants, and it cannot bypass permission checks.
- AI output is assistive, not authoritative. For financial or legal decisions, confirm against the actual reports.
- AI never takes actions on its own: it does not send emails, approve bids, or change records. Drafting features elsewhere in Rentivue always require human review and approval, with the original AI version kept in the audit trail.
- Conversations may be logged for quality and audit purposes per your company's settings.
Common mistakes
- Treating an AI summary as the final number in an owner conversation — always check the statement or report.
- Asking about data in a different company without switching companies first.
FAQ
- Which AI provider does it use?
- The provider configured by your admin under Settings > Providers; AI features are unavailable until one is configured.
