How do I turn modules on or off?
Enable or disable platform modules per company under Settings > Modules & Features.
Purpose
Rentivue is modular: each company turns on only the modules it needs (Long-Term Rental, Short-Term Rental, Finance, Owner Statements, Owner Portal, Maintenance, Marketing Hub, Direct Booking, AI Brain, and more). This keeps menus clean and hides features your team does not use.
Who can use this
Administrators with the module settings permission. Module settings are per company — switching companies shows that company's own switches.
Steps
- 1Open Back Office > Settings > Modules & Features (/settings/modules).
- 2Find the module you want to change. Each card explains what the module controls.
- 3Toggle it on or off.
- 4If the module depends on another module, Rentivue shows a dependency warning. For example, Owner Statements requires Finance — you cannot enable Owner Statements while Finance is off, and disabling Finance warns you about every module that depends on it.
- 5Save. The navigation updates immediately for everyone in the company.
Important notes
- Turning a module OFF hides its menus and screens but NEVER deletes data. Turn it back on and everything is exactly where you left it.
- Module settings are per company. Enabling Short-Term Rental in one company does not enable it in another.
- A module can be on while a specific user still cannot see it — the user also needs the matching permissions. See "Why can't I see a menu or feature?".
- Some modules are gated by your subscription plan; check Settings > Subscription if a toggle is locked.

Common mistakes
- Disabling Finance without noticing that Owner Statements and payouts depend on it.
- Expecting a module toggle to grant user access — permissions are separate.
FAQ
- Will I lose reservations if I turn Short-Term Rental off?
- No. The data is preserved and reappears when you re-enable the module.
