I can't see the Finance menu
Finance is module- and permission-gated; check both, plus company and plan.
Purpose
The Finance / Accounting area is not in your navigation. Finance is one of the most tightly gated areas — both the module and your permissions must allow it.
Possible causes
- The Finance module is disabled for this company.
- Your role has no finance-read permissions (finance is sensitive; many roles exclude it by default).
- A per-user deny override removes finance access.
- You are in a company where you have a smaller role.
- The subscription plan does not include the finance features you expect.
How to check
- 1An admin checks Settings > Modules & Features — is Finance on?
- 2An admin checks your role and overrides in Settings > Users. Accountant and admin roles include finance; many operational roles do not.
- 3Confirm the company in the header selector.
- 4Check Settings > Subscription for plan gating.
How to fix
- 1Enable the Finance module (note: other modules like Owner Statements depend on it, so it is often already on if statements work).
- 2Have an admin assign a role with finance permissions (for example Accountant) or grant the specific permissions as overrides.
- 3Remove any deny override on your user.
- 4Switch to the correct company.
When to contact support
If Finance is enabled and your permissions are confirmed but the menu still does not render, contact support (category: Finance / statement issue) with your user email and company name.
Important notes
- Finance visibility is enforced server-side too — granting the permission is the only correct fix; there is no URL workaround.
